Bryn Terfel, Metropolitan Opera Leading Bass-Baritone

Florida Grand Opera completes its debut concert season with one of the most sought-after bass-baritones in the world, Bryn Terfel, a gifted Welsh singer who adds magic to whatever he sings. Critics herald Terfel’s performances as “astounding vocal events,” characterizing his sound as “magnificent” and his stage presence as “electrifying.”

Hailed as “a budding prima donna of exceptional promise” by the New York Observer, Sarah Coburn is captivating audiences everywhere she sings. In 2006/07 Sarah performed the role of Princess Yueyang in the world premiere production of Tan Dun’s The First Emperor at the Metropolitan Opera and the role of Kitty in the world premiere of Anna Karenina at FGO.

Music selections include Verdi’s Falstaff, Wagner’s Die fliegende Holländer, Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, as well as Broadway songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein.
