Two age-specific sessions

• 11:00 am for attendees 8 years old and younger
• 1:00 pm for attendees 9 years old and older

This family-friendly event at the Arsht Center will include:

• Musical selections from Rossini's The Barber of Seville sung by members of FGO’s Young Artist Studio
• Costume and wig demonstrations
• A “behind-the-scenes” peek at the production
• An “instrument petting zoo”
• The Barber of Seville–themed take-home craft projects

The Study Guide includes both Opera 101 (general) information and information specific to Rossini's exciting opera. The Guide presents information about the opera, music terminology, the historical and literary elements found within the work, and various academic exercises designed to incorporate opera education into existing lesson plans.
